In 2021, we are focused on achieving our learning goals in the areas of flexible learning spaces, assessing effectively to improve teaching and learning outcomes and building stronger community partnerships. We encourage you to book an appointment with our Principal, Tony Hunter, Assistant Principal, Jan Condon or a member of our passionate and committed staff to discuss the learning opportunities and faith formation of students in our Kyogle community.
As we come to gather we acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, sea and community. We commit ourselves to actively working alongside Aboriginal people for reconciliation and justice
St Brigid’s School ‘Dance Spectacular’
The excitement is rising as the students from St Brigid’s School prepare for their upcoming dance performance. Once again this year we had the expertise of Aleeta Northey who motivated the students, choreographed their dance routines and took them through their steps during a one week dance intensive block.
The theme for the Dance Spectacular is “Dancing Around the World” which will be quite refreshing since the pandemic has put a halt on overseas travel. We invite you to this event, where you will be transported to exotic and interesting places abroad.
The students are all talking about the event. Landon has said “Dancing is fun”, while Noah loves learning the moves, dressing up and performing. Loretta has also enjoyed the experience because she gets to learn more about other cultures and countries.
The ‘Dance Spectacular’ will be held in Term 2, Week 2, during Catholic Schools Week, to showcase some of the creative learning we do at St Brigid’s. All are welcome to attend.
Welcome to the New School Year
A big welcome to all in our St Brigid’s School community as a new year of education gets underway. We would like to welcome our new families and staff members who are joining us, and wish them a rewarding and successful year. Our newest and youngest school members have begun Kindy and were especially excited on their first day as they came through the gates wearing their uniform with pride and carrying their new school bag. There were big smiles and perhaps a little trepidation. However, our Kinder students are settling into school routines very quickly, having fun and making new friends. We look forward to another great year ahead.

Through the involvement in ‘Wakakirri’, the students were given the opportunity to build confidence, resilience and an appreciation of culture. The entry from St Brigid’s comprised students from Kindergarten to Year 6 who committed to give up much of their own time to be a part of this cultural activity. (more…)
